Douglas Eugene Nalley, 68, of 6565 Wards Gap Road, Casar, died Monday, June
27, 2011 at his residence.

Born October 13, 1942 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Harry
Andrew Nalley and Montine Holman Nalley.  He was retired from Sackville
Mill.  Mr. Nalley was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where he was a
deacon.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by  a granddaughter,
Jane Nalley and two brothers, Donald and Howard Nalley.

Survivors include his stepmother, Mae Nalley;  wife of 46 years, Letty Ruth
Moore Nalley; three sons, Douglas S. Nalley of Grover, Richard A. Nalley of
Casar and Marvin Moore of Shelby; two daughters, Wanda J. Wright of Casar
and Lynn Haynes of Shelby; two brothers, Eddie Nalley of Morganton and Wyman
Nalley of Casar; two sisters, Rita Wright and Brenda Moore both of Shelby;
and eight grandchildren.

Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Stamey Funeral
Home, Fallston.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday,  Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Shelby.
The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.

Officiating: Revs. Thomas Irvin and Carl Joseph Sparks

Burial: Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery
