Dwight Mitchell Meade, 84, of Fallston passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Atrium Health - Pineville.

He was born on February 15, 1941, in Cleveland County and was a son of the late Glen Mead and Flossie Costner Mead. Dwight was retired from Waldensian Bakeries and also served in the United State Army. He was an active member of Fallston Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty-seven years Joyce Martin Meade; and a brother Kenneth Meade.

He is survived by his son, Kale Meade and wife Pam of Fallston; sisters, Margaret Brackett of Casar, Mary Sue Boyles of Toluca, Janell Earl of Roswell, GA, Patsy Pennington of Casar and Dianne Morrison of Casar; and three grandchildren, Josh Meade, Sarah Meade, and Bethany Meade all of Fallston.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the Fallston Baptist Church Family Life Center.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Fallston Baptist Church with the Rev. David Blanton officiating.

Burial will follow at in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
