Dylan Jay Richardson, age 31, of Shelby, NC, passed away on May 9, 2025.

Born and raised in Shelby, Dylan had a lifelong love for sports, especially baseball and football. He played safety for the Burns High School football team and graduated with the Class of 2011. He was also passionate about motocross and anything involving motorcycles, living life with energy, fearlessness, and a free spirit.

Dylan is survived by his mother, Teresa, and stepfather, Wayne Moss; his father, Jay Richardson, and stepmother, Deedee; his brother, Brandon Tesseneer, and wife Sarah; his sister, Tyra Briles, and husband Justin; and his grandmother, Dottie Richardson. He is also remembered by many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, May 16, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m., at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby, NC.

Dylan will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his adventurous spirit, his big heart, and his love for life.
