Earlene Virginia Houser Parker, 84, of 2063 North Brook #3 School Road,
passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at home.

Born January 14, 1927 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Jessie Houser and Mary Ida Wesson Houser.  She was a former employee of
Hickory Springs.  Mrs. Parker was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church
where she was a former Sunday school teacher.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Ralph
Parker, Jr. and Tom Parker; a daughter, Juanita Parker; four brothers, Ford,
Evan, Ellis and Hugh Houser and one sister, Lois Houser.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband of 69 years, Ralph C. Parker of Vale;
two sons, Fred Parker and wife, Barbara and James Parker all of Vale; a
daughter, Muriel Speagle and husband, Bill of Vale; daughter-in-law, Linda
Parker of Hickory; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, Sunday at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Vale

Funeral Service: 4:30 PM, Sunday at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Vale

Officiating: Revs. Jeremy Mahaffey and Don Willis

Burial: Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery, Vale
