Edna Modean Suddreth



It is in loving remembrance that we announce that Edna Modean Suddreth, "Mo", was called home by our Lord on April 4, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on January 13, 1936, in Tennessee, to the late Roy and Mattie Perry.

Mo was a beloved mother, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother. She was a social butterfly who enjoyed fellowship in Christ, gospel music, playing cards and bingo, hosting parties, putt-putt golf, and bowling.

Mo lived in Kings Mountain, NC, where she made many lasting memories with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Sharon (Jeff) Koch, Karen (Ron) Schultz, Lynne (Chuck) Wilson; grandchildren, Chad (Stephanie) Wilson, Heath (Micah) Wilson, Jamie Wilson, Jessica (Thomas) White, Angela Suddreth, Jacklyn Claywell; great-grandchildren, Dylan Beaver, Brayden Wilson, Lindsey Wilson, Rylee Wilson, and Brantley Wilson; and other extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Suddreth Sr; son, James Suddreth Jr; daughter, Donna Suddreth; granddaughter, Jan Lowery, siblings, ML Perry and Dorothy Wojciechowski; great-nephew, James Chapman; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation for Mo will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate her life. She will be laid to rest afterward at Hollywood Cemetery in Gastonia.
