Mr. Edward Hambright Herndon, 66, of 4904 E. Dixon Blvd., Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010. A Memorial Service was held at Patterson Grove Baptist Church. 

Mr. Herndon was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Hambright Herndon and Aileen Moore Herndon.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gail Heavner of Kings Mtn., NC; 3 daughters, Edie Herndon McCurry and husband Todd, Nicole Herndon Radford and husband Larry, and Missy Herndon-Bailey and husband Scott, all of Kings Mountain, NC; 1 sister, Lynda Hammill and husband Bobby of Kings Mtn., NC; and 7 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Patterson Grove Baptist Church, 301 Oak Grove Road, Kings Mountain, NC 28086; or to: Kings Mountain High School, Welding Department, 500 Phifer Road, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
