Blacksburg - Edward Vaughn Kirkley, 75, of 736 Burnt Mill Road, passed away February 18, 2026 Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Brunswick, GA, he was the husband of Michele Hoppe Kirkley and the son of the late Edward M. Kirkley and Joan Lightsey Hickey. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the US Army and formerly worked as an aircraft mechanic.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Kirkley is survived by his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Kirkley; his granddaughter, Miranda Kirkley; and his brother, Ben Hickey.
