Edwin "Ed" Aaron Lee

Edwin "Ed" Aaron Lee, 76, of Casar passed away on January 31, 2026 at his residence.

Ed was born on July 11, 1949 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Howard Cletus Lee and Lillian Frances McSwain Lee. Ed was a hardworking man of the land, a devoted chicken farmer who found his peace outdoors. He spent countless hours on his tractor, working the fields and tending to the farm, grateful for honest labor and the chance to provide for his family. Before dedicating his later years fully to the farm, Ed retired from BellSouth, where he worked faithfully and took pride in a job well done.

Ed had a deep love for the animals in his care. Feeding them, raising them, and seeing them thrive was not just his work--it was his way of life. He believed in responsibility, routine, and doing right by what God placed in his hands.

Ed also proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, a chapter of his life that reflected his sense of duty and quiet strength. Known for his steady presence and strong work ethic, Ed showed his love through provision, perseverance, and showing up day after day. His life was rooted in the soil, shaped by hard work, and guided by a quiet devotion to family and farm.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Steven Lee and three sisters, Frances Lee, Pheobe Price and Linda McCraw.

Ed is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sherry Houser Lee; sons, Aaron Lee and wife, Nicole of Leesburg, VA, Dale Price and wife, Sadie of Casar and Cain Price of Casar; daughters, Amy Wilson and husband, Bryan and Cora Price of Casar; grandson, Avery Wilson of Casar and granddaughter, Clara Price; brothers-in-law, Herman McCraw of Polkville, J.P. Price of Cherokee Village, AR, Phil Houser and wife, Janet of Vale, Tim Houser and wife, June of Hiddenite and Sam Houser and wife, Lisa of Vale; sister-in-law, Candy Houser of Casar and numerous nieces and nephews.
