Elizabeth E. Humphries
Elizabeth E. Humphries, age 80, of Forest City, NC, died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born October 3, 1933 in Rutherford County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charlie B. Allen and Mattie Kate Toney Allen. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Elizabeth enjoyed craftwork and flower gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Stanley Hoyle.
Survivors include five sons, Steve Hoyle, Charlie Hoyle and wife, Barbara, Roger Hoyle and wife, Debbie, Jeffery Hoyle and wife, Janet and Kenneth Humphries, Jr. all of Forest City; four daughters, Sheila Pearson and husband, Torrance of Bostic, Debra Taylor and husband, Mike of Spindale, Rita Yelton and husband, Harold of Ellenboro and Kathy Holland and husband, Calvin of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends to honor Elizabeth will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Epicenter Church in Forest City.
