Elizabeth Emily "Lib" Pruett Owens, 67 of 513 Antrum Street, Shelby passed
away October 30, 2015 at her home.

Born November 21, 1947 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
David Harrison Pruett and Ovie Hoyle Pruett. She was retired from Specialty
Lighting and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas
Pruett.

Survivors include her husband, Wade Junior Owens; two sons, Johnny Charles
Atkins of Morganton and Rev. Glenn David Kerstetter and wife, Melissa of
Casar; a daughter, Penny Elizabeth Atkins of Shelby; three brothers, Tommy
Pruett and Ricky Pruett both of New House and John Henry Pruett of Forest
City; and sister, Mildred Moore of Polkville; five grandchildren, Charis,
Moriah, Hannah, Noah Kerstetter and Cheyenne Dawn Atkins; and one
great-grandchild, Bentley Atkins.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home & Cremation Center

Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home &
Cremation Center Chapel with Rev. Glenn David Kerstetter and Rev. Scott
Holland officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery
