Ella Bonner "Bonnie" Mann Gunn, age 101, died Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Cleveland Pines in Shelby. Born in Hyde County on April 28, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Mann and Blanche Bonner Mann. Bonnie Graduated from East Carolina University. She worked as a secretary for Newport News Shipping in Newport News, VA during World War II before moving to Atlanta. She was a Member and former President of the Pilot Club. She retired from AMCOA - Shower Door Company of America and then worked part time for the Salvation Army. She was a member of Haygood United Methodist Church in Atlanta and transferred to Central United Methodist Church when she moved to Shelby, NC.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Thomas Gunn, and three brothers; Thurston Mann, William "Bill" Mann, Walter "Tommy" Mann

Bonnie is survived by her son, Charles Thomas "Tommy" Gunn Jr. and wife Tammy of Lawndale.

Private Services will take place in Cary, NC and a Graveside service for immediate family at Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, Ga.
