Emma Corene Blanton Stewart, 93 of Shelby, NC passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2011.  Services were held at Second Baptist Church. Burial was held at Cleveland Memorial Park.

Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents, John Manuel Blanton & Mary Ann Lynn Blanton; her brother, Albert Blanton; and two sisters, Barbara Newton Stewart and Bessie Wilson. 

She is survived by her husband, James Clinton Stewart of the home; a foster daughter,  Nieta McDaniel of Shelby; 2  foster grandchildren and a  number of nieces and nephews.
