Evelyn Sulser Willis
Evelyn Sulser Willis, 77, of Grover, NC went home to be with her heavenly family on
Saturday May 2, while at Kings Mountain Hospital.
Born in Sylacauga, Alabama on April 19, 1938, she was preceded by her fathers, Roy Virgil Sulser who gave his
life during WWII, Rufus Lee Nelson and mother Mattie Gertrude Barnes.
She is survived by husband Bill Willis of Grover; daughter Patricia Faulkenberry and husband Roger of Kershaw, SC; son
Billy Willis of Roswell, GA; granddaughter, Melanie S. Broughton and husband Brian; grandson Joshua Walden and
wife Laine, both of Kershaw; great/grandsons who were the love of her life, Brody and Banks Broughton and Ryder Walden;
sister Joyce Maxfield and husband Ken of Collegedale, TN; brothers: Jimmy Sulser of Royal, IL., Bloyce Nelson and wife Nancy
of Palm Coast, FL; many nieces, nephews; cousins and a loving church family.
Miss Evelyn was a friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed meeting new faces and helping where ever she could. During
her life in Grover she filled in as pianist at many local churches; helped publish "The Grover Rover", a local newsletter; was active
in the Grover Woman's Club and loved mission work thru her WMU at church.
Visitation will be Monday, May 4th, 6:00 till 8:00 PM at White Columns Funeral Service, Blacksburg, SC.
Funeral will be Tuesday, May 5th, 3:00 PM at Bethany Baptist Church, Grover, NC with burial at
Grover Cemetery.
