Faye Dwight Shoup, 74, of Buck Chapman Rd., Casar, passed away Saturday
October 13, 2018 at home.

Born May 23, 1944 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Coy Shoup
and Edna Buff Shoup. Mr. Shoup was retired from the NCDOT in Burke County as
a transportation supervisor for maintanence. He was a member of Carpenter's
Grove Baptist Church, Casar Masonic Lodge#579 and Fallston American Legion
Post 527 where he served on the honor guard for thirty years. He served in
the US Army during the Vietnam Era.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances
Ellen Shoup and one brother, Dean Shoup.

Survivors include one son, Allen Shoup and wife Danielle of Lawndale; one
daughter, Stephanie Shoup of Lincolnton; caregiver and mother of his
children, Frances Peeler Shoup of Lawndale; one stepson, Robert Chapman and
wife Renee of Sherrills Ford; one stepdaughter, Tracy Barrett and husband
David of Lawndale; two brothers, Robert Shoup of Lawndale and Gerald Shoup
and wife Jackie and daughter Halley of Lawndale; six grandchildren, Carson
Shoup, Kaden Shoup, Joshua Barrett, Kayla Barrett, Alex Chapman and Andy
Chapman; one great grandchild, Ayden Barrett.

The visitation will be 1:00PM until 2:00PM Tuesday at Carpenter's Grove
Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

The graveside service will be 2:00PM Tuesday at Carpenter's Grove Baptist
Church Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Welch officiating.

Burial will be in the Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with
military graveside rites by Fallston American Legion Post 527 and masonic
graveside rites by Casar Masonic Lodge#579.
