Forney Willard Sain, 86 of Vale passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025 at his residence.

Born on July 17, 1938, in Lincoln County, NC to the late DeMott E. Sain and Willard Hoyle Sain. Forney was retired as a Long Line Driver for Carolina Freight Carriers, during which he not only dedicated himself to his work but also to the community of drivers and workers within the industry. He was a member of Davids Chapel Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Brittain Sain; four brothers, Blaine Sain, Harold Sain, Buford Sain and William Hoyle Sain and a sister, Hazel Sain.

He was the loving father of three children: Ricky Sain of Vale and Randy Sain and his wife, Tes, of Triangle, VA; and Sheena Chapman of Lewisville. Forney's joy was multiplied with the blessings of three grandchildren, Robert Chapman and his wife, Savannah of Wilmington, Lyndsey Sain of Triangle, VA, and Ethan Sain of Vale. He is also survived by his sister, Bonnie Brackett of Vale.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Davids Chapel Methodist Church Fellowship Building.

The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 2:00pm at Davids Chapel Methodist Church with Pastor Forrestene Sain officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
