Forrest Amon Cook, 75 of Polkville, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at his residence.

Born in Cleveland County on September 28, 1947, he was the son of the late Julius Clemmie Cook and Susan Dale Cook. Forrest was retired from Hickory Springs and served in the Navy during Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Javan Cook, J.C. Cook, Tonnie Cook, Bill Cook and John Cook and a sister, Bertha Swink.

Survivors include two sons, Thad Cook and wife, Judy of Lawndale and Noel Cook and wife, Amber of Shelby; two brothers, Harrell Cook and wife, Mary of Shelby and Darrell Cook and wife, Cathy of Claremont and three sisters, Vernie Willis of Lawndale, Juanita Allen and husband, Thad of Shelby and Diane Blanton of Mt. Holly; six grandchildren, Adrian Cook, Levi Cook, Tiara Clark, Mariah Davis, Titan Clark and Olivia Little and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Pisgah Baptist Church.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 1:00pm at Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. James Wedgeworth officiating.
