Francis Daphine Putnam, 85, of Kings Mountain, peacefully passed away the evening of Friday March 28th, 2025.

She was born in 1940 to the late Crawford and Essie Lovelace and lived in Oak Grove the majority of her life.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Wayne S. Putnam and by her four older brothers, Fred, Wilbur, C.M., and Hubert Lovelace.

She worked for Cleveland County Schools in Kings Mountain from 1971-2003. She was a devoted Christian and member of Oak Grove Baptist Church for most of her life. She will be immensely missed by friends and family.

Daphine is survived by her husband of 9 years, Eric Rogers; her sons, Allen, and David Putnam; and her grandchildren Halle, Coleman, Mason, and Faith.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 1022 Oak Grove Road Kings Mountain, officiated by Pastor Jason Allen and Pastor Brian Taule. The burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
