Frank McGinnis
Mr. McGinnis served our country in the U.S. Navy as a master chief after 33 years of service as a tug master and harbor pilot, serving in World War II, Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Waltena Guadagni McGinnis; his parents, Delmas McGinnis and Kathleen Healderman McGinnis; 3 brothers, Paul McGinnis, Ed McGinnis and an infant brother; and 1 infant sister. He is survived by his 2nd wife, Shirley Price McGinnis; 1 son, Frank Stephen “Mac” McGinnis and wife Carolyn of Lincolnton, NC; 3 daughters, Jeannette King of Lincolnton, Betty Brittain and husband Randy of Cherryville, and Connie Stoddard and husband Roger of Greenville, SC; 3 step-daughters, Rosemary Curran and husband Daniel, and Sandra Chaney and husband Randy, all of Lincolnton, and Jill Yochim and husband Sid of Tennessee; 4 brothers, Glenn McGinnis of Charlotte, NC, Bob McGinnis of Lincolnton, Don McGinnis of Waddy, KY, and JR McGinnis of Gastonia; 2 sisters, Mary Noles of Lake Norman, and Sue McGinnis of Gastonia; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
