Franklin "Chip" Edgar Lattimore, Jr., 73, of Lawndale, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Testa Hospice House ,Kings Mountain .

Born in Cleveland County on October 26, 1948, he was the son of the late Rev. Franklin Edgar Lattimore and Josephine Towery Cook. He was retired from PPG and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He also served in the US Army during Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Melinda Beam Lattimore; son, Jimmy Lattimore and wife Wendy of Lawndale; two daughters, Barbara Blevins and husband Chad of Lawndale and Codie Ray and husband Michael of Granite Falls; sister, Karen Smith and husband Walt of Wilmington; five grandchildren, Easton Theis, Silas Ray, Callie Ray, Nova Ray and Charlie Blevins.

The family will receive friends after the graveside service.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00AM at Rose Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Jim Kilby officiating.
