Dr. Gary Lionell Mangum Sr. lived a life devoted to his family, his patients, and the community he called home. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, physician, and friend whose life was defined not only by what he accomplished, but by the people he loved and the memories he created along the way.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2026, in the Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Leonard Byers officiating the service. The family will receive friends following the service.

Dr. Gary Lionell Mangum Sr. will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by the family he devoted his life to.

Flowers are welcome, or those wishing to make a memorial contribution may consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization Gary proudly supported throughout his life.
