 Mr. Gene Carlisle Ellis, 75, of  Shelby, NC,  passed away Friday, May 14, 2010. Services were held at Westview Baptist Church. A Private Burial will be held by the family.

Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his parents, Darwin Carlisle and Mabel McPherson Ellis.

He is survived by is wife of 48 years, Sue Emerson Ellis; children, David and Ann; 1 brother, Harold Ellis and wife Sandra; and 1 nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Westview Baptist Church, 500 Melody Lane, Shelby, NC 28152; or to: Lafayette Street United Methodist Church, 1420 South Lafayette Street, Shelby, NC 28152; or to: The American Heart Association, 222 South Church Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.
