Gene Edward Bradshaw
Gene Edward Bradshaw, 70 of 1090 David's Chapel Church Road, Lawndale passed away, Monday, February 12, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland.
Born August 2, 1947 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Forrest Edward Bradshaw and Eunice Sue Wright Bradshaw. He was retired from FASCO and Hickory Springs and was member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Gene served 20 years with Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department and Shelby Rescue Squad where he served as chief and on the board of directors. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Carla Stamey Bradshaw; four daughters, Gina Bradshaw of Waco, Stacey Bradshaw Autrey of Cornelius, Maggie Bradshaw Robinson and husband, Josh of Cherryville and Abbie Bradshaw of the home; a sister, Reba Ramsey of Lawndale; five grandchildren, B.J. Mayhew and fiancée, Brittany, Aaron Mayhew, Kari Mayhew, Tori Autrey and Olivia Autrey and one great-granddaughter, Paisley.
Visitation will be 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Tuesday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Allan Barlow officiating. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
