George Morries "Buddy" Morgan, 69, of Shelby, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Cleveland County on January 15, 1953, he was a son of the late William Forrest Morgan, Sr. and Worlden Dakota Boone Morgan. He was retired from Cleveland Mills and was of the baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Morgan and two sisters, Worlden Rebecca Morgan Byers and Jenny Philbeck.

Survivors include three daughters; three sisters, Mary Mayhew and husband Jim of Shelby, Ann Gossett and husband Clevie of Mooresboro and Johnnie Allen of Shelby.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Shores officiating.

Burial will be private.
