Green Bethel Church Receives Grants and Special Donations

On Monday, November 17, 2025, Green Bethel Church received $45,000 from Executive Director Amanda T. Graff of the Dover Foundation and $10,000 from Executive Director of Hospice Cleveland County Foundation Emily Arey. The donations were presented to Commodities Directors Jennie Poston and Betty Fernanders of Green Behel Baptist Church TEFAP that will be used to construct a Metal Workshop Building to house the Emergency Food Assistance Program.
The Commodities program provides food for 150 families weekly and in excess of 150 families per month. This occurs every Monday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM and every third Tuesday from 12:00 PM -2:00 PM. Food is provided until it runs out.
The food is provided by Second Harvest of Metrolina and Healthy Together Health Care Foundation of Cleveland County.
Green Bethel would also like to acknowledge the $439 donation from Maple Springs Baptist Church and Pastor Robert L. Dover, in support of Second Harvest ministry work.
