 Gregory Carson Huffman, 46, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at home.  A native of Rowan County, he is the son of Hugh Carson and Evelyn Baker Huffman of Earl.  Gregory loved spending time with his grandsons and family.  He worked for Wal-Mart Distribution as a diesel mechanic tech 3 for 11 years. 

Along with his parents, Gregory is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Huffman Short and husband Steven of Lawndale; his son, Christopher Carson Huffman of the home; brothers, Kelly Huffman and wife Jenny of Earl and Mark Huffman and wife Debra of Earl; beloved grandsons, Junior and Ben Short.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00pm on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Christopher Road Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00pm prior to the service at the church.  At other times the family will be at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christopher Road Baptist Church, 420 Christopher Church Road, Shelby NC 28152.
