Hal Shoup
Monday, October 22, 2012 11:29 am Mr. Hal Shoup, 70, of Ellenboro, passed away at Carolinas Medical Center on October 18, 2012. A native of Pennsylvania, he was reared in Fairmont, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Milton “Cookie” Shoup & Jeanette Shoup.
Formerly an entrepreneur, he worked as an assisted living administrator for 26 years prior to retirement. Most recent and for the last ten years, he was associated with “SALI” Southern Assisted Living, Inc. He attended Gantt’s Grove Baptist Church and was a member of the
He is survived by his wife, Linda Toney Shoup of the home; two sons, Jeff Shoup & his wife, Cara of Illinois and Steven Shoup of Kansas City, Kansas; daughter, Melissa Shoup of Virginia Beach, VA; a step-son, Ray Pinion & wife, Andrea of Bostic; a brother, John Shoup & wife, Vikki of Moreland Hills, Ohio; grandchildren, Taylor, Drew, Zach, Anna & Emma; a number of nieces, and many dear friends, colleague’s and associates; and a beloved German Shepard, Sable.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory on Sunday, October 21, 2012, 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
