Hal Worth Grigg



Hal Worth Grigg, 85, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at White Oak Manor.  Born in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Frank Wesley an Nora Short Grigg.  He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph, J.D., Rass, Max, Ben Grigg and his sister, Kate Grigg Cornwell.  Hal was a member and lay leader of Rehobeth United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and reading magazines.

 

Hal is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joan Grigg Grigg; sons, Hal Victor Grigg and wife Belinda Ann of New House and Paul Joel Grigg and wife Kay of New House; three grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

 

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Rehobeth United Methodist Church.  The Rev. Sean Turner will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.  At other times the family will be at the home.
