Blacksburg -- Harold David Putnam, 79, of 202 W. Clairborne St, passed away on Sunday, September 14th, 2025, at the Palmetto Patriots Home.

Born in Earl, NC, he was the widower of Kathy Ross Putnam and the son of the late William Franklin Putnam and Mary Sue Barrett Putnam. He was retired from textiles, a veteran of the United States Army, and was a member of the Buffalo Lodge #202 AFM.

Surviving Mr. Putnam are his sister, Sheila White (Terry), and a special friend, Hattie Bolin.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Putnam.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 18th, 2025, from 1:00-2:00pm at Gordon Mortuary. A funeral service with military and Masonic rights will follow at 2:00pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel.

The family will be at their respective homes.
