Harold Dean Traylor, 86, of 907 Allendale Drive, Shelby, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Carolina Medical Center Main in Charlotte.

He retired from Kemet Electronics and was a member of Lilly Memorial Baptist Church. Dean was a former little league baseball coach for Shelby City Park and played on the adult softball teams.

Dean was preceded by his parents Joe Claude and Vada Pearson Traylor and twin sister, Geraldine Traylor.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Barbara Ann Taylor Traylor; sister-in-law and husband, Robin and Bill Burton of Shelby; and nieces and nephews, Chad Taylor and Nicole of Boiling Springs, Mark Taylor and Katrina of Charleston, SC, Meredith Burton of Hudson, and great nieces and nephews, Zac, Logan, Landon, and Lillian Taylor.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 11:00 at Lily Baptist Church with Rev. Aubrey Folk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
