Gaffney -- Harold Eugene "Buck" Pittman, 78, of 1125 Burnt Gin Rd, passed away on Wednesday, February 19th, 2026, at the Upstate Community Hospice House.

Born in Union, he was the son of the late Robert Odell and Annie Mae Burgess Pittman. Buck formerly worked as a carpenter before working as a custodian at Luther Vaughn Elementary School and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Surviving Mr. Pittman are a son, Shane Pittman (Leslie); a sister, Shirley Carson; his grandchildren: Derek Burns (Alysa), Michael Pittman, Hay Pittman, Dylan Burns (Emily), Morgan Pittman, Malachi Pittman, and Jackson Pittman; and his great-grandchildren, Pthalo and Charlotte.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 20th, 2026 from 2:00-3:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. A funeral service will follow at 3:00pm and a private interment will be in the Pittman Family Cemetery.
