Harold Fred Champion, 78 of 3632 Rube Spangler Road, Lawndale passed away
Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at his residence.

Born September 16, 1938 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Furman
Ezell Champion and Lucy Morrison Champion. He was formerly employed by Davey
Tree Service and Asplundh in Pennsylvania and owned Champion Express in
Lawndale.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Lou
Champion; three brothers, Jack, Conrad and Frank Champion.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Delores Ann Hall Champion; three
daughters, Jolene Griffin of Florida, Charlene Spence and husband Mark of
Pennsylvania, Darlene Adams and husband Wayne of Pennsylvania; five step
children, Tommy Fender and wife Donna of Statesville, Johnny Fender and wife
Kellie of Ellenboro, Sherry Daniel and husband Michael of Forest City, Joey
Fender of Missouri, Stacy Watson and husband Hugh of Tennessee; 18
grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be 3:00 PM Friday at Stamey - Tysinger Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Aaron Gadsby officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Burial will be private.
