Harry Douglas "Doug" Satterfield

Harry Douglas "Doug" Satterfield, beloved husband and father passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, May 12, 2025 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

Doug was born on March 13, 1963 in Danville, VA to the late Harry Douglas Satterfield and Patti Echols Satterfield. He was a graduate of Northern Durham High School, where he played football, and Western Carolina University. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, which resulted in an extended family of lifelong brothers and best friends.

Doug recently celebrated 25 years as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments. This firm enabled him to do what he loved most; help people attain their goals and dreams and give back to his community. He was a dedicated fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association and a supporter of the Boy Scouts of America.

Doug attended Palm Tree Church and was very blessed to have a loving church family of caring and compassionate people who reflect the teachings of Christ in their daily lives. He had a zest for life like no other, always with a smile and contagious laugh. Doug lived life with a generous heart and a kindness that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was an avid sports fan, a dog lover, and most importantly, a family man. He cherished his wife and two sons. They are heartbroken over this loss but take comfort in knowing that he is with his Lord and Savior.

Doug is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sandra Shuford Satterfield; two sons, Adam Satterfield and wife, Melissa of Greer, SC and Luke Satterfield of Shelby; sister, Tori Hughes and husband, Jamye of Creedmoor; sister-in-law, Lisa Batca and husband Ron of Raleigh; brother-in-law, Richard Shuford and Paula of Marietta, Georgia; nephews and nieces, Wesley Weaver and wife, Lindsey, Ryan Hughes and wife, Anna Marie, Emma Weaver, Caroline Rhodes and husband, Brandon, Alec Batca and Lara Batca.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
