Harvey "Dale" Grant, 68, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025, in Silver City, NC. Born in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late James Thomas Grant and Lucy Elizabeth Lowery Grant. In addition to his parents, Dale is preceded in death by his beloved son, Preston Emery Grant.

Dale was a man of remarkable strength, boundless humor, and unwavering kindness. He was a loving husband and a devoted father--the kind of man who led by quiet example. He taught us the value of hard work, how to laugh at life's quirks, and how to love deeply and without reservation.

Dale is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kimberly Grant; two sons, Thomas Grant and Douglas Grant, two daughters, Jenifer Grant and Josie Grant, sisters Margaret Dority (Robert), Gail Merique (Jim), Debbie Harris (Todd), brother Donald Grant, and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

We will forever cherish his memory--the warmth of his presence, the sound of his laugh, the way he made everyone feel at home. Though our hearts ache, we find comfort in knowing he is now at peace.

A celebration of Dale's life will be held at the home of the family on Sunday, April 27, 2025 beginning at 3:00 PM.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has reached out with love and support during this difficult time. Your kindness means more than words can express.

Dad, we'll miss you every single day. Thank you for being our rock.
