Harvey Henderson, age 79, of Henrietta, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.
Harvey was born Wednesday, January 30, 1946 in Rutherford County to the late Jessie James Henderson and Myrtle Luckadoo Henderson. He worked in textiles for many years. His last place of employment was in the Spin Room at the Galey and Lord Mill in Caroleen. He enjoyed gardening and fishing and was known as a "jokester" who loved having a good time.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special nephew, Leroy Hutchins.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife of fifty-five years, Betty Henderson; daughter, Trina Davis (Jeremy) of Forest City; brother, Larry Henderson (Lamonda) of Caroleen; grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Austin Henderson (Harley), Brianna Henderson; great grandchildren, Mason Rector, McKenlee Smith, Lily Henderson and Daxton Johnson.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 20th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Buddy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at the Fellowship Holiness Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
