Helen C. Goode, age 94, of Mooresville, NC, previously of Cliffside, passed away Saturday, June 19. 2021 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, NC.

Helen was born Wednesday, April 27, 1927, in Cleveland County to the late William Surber and Myra Harbin Surber. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a dedicated homemaker. Helen loved taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Goode; three brothers and four sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Ron Goode (Brenda); daughter, Cacheeta Pender (Joe); brother, Jim Surber; sister, Marilyn Phagen; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday June 26, 2021, at Race Path Baptist Church with Reverend Randall Cooper officiating.
