 Mrs. Helen Stephenson Davis, 82, of Shelby, NC, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010. Services were held at First United Methodist Church, Gastonia, NC. Burial will be private. 

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Lyndon Hobbs III; her second husband, Robert Thomas Davis; and her parents, Bernard Ogburn Stephenson and Margaret Morgan Stephenson.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Margaret Hobbs Collins and husband Ray of Winston-Salem, NC and Gretchen Hobbs Donaldson and husband John of Alexandria, VA; 1 son, Lewis Lyndon Hobbs IV and wife Kesha of Shelby; 1 step-daughter, Kelly Davis England of Gastonia, NC; 2 step-sons, Robert Leeth Davis, Sr. and wife Sharron, and Louis Winfield Davis and wife Ann, all of Gastonia, NC; 5 grandchildren; and 5 step-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Shelby Presbyterian Church, 226 E. Graham St., Shelby, NC 28150; or to: First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 218, Gastonia, NC 28053; or to Donors Choice.
