Mrs. Helen Whitaker Ledbetter, 63 of Shelby, NC passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011. Services and burial were held at Flint Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Whitaker was preceded in death by her parents, J. Max Whitaker and Celesta Belle Fraser Whitaker. 

She is survived by her husband, Dan Ledbetter of the home; one daughter,  Jill Ledbetter Howard  and husband, Rick of  Shelby; one  son, Jason Edward Ledbetter and wife, Kimberly of Shelby; 6 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lounette Davidson & husband, Sammy of Charlotte; and Betty Swanger and  husband, Gary of Arden; 2 brothers, David Whitaker and  wife, Burnette of Lattimore; and Roy Whitaker and wife, Prue of Mooresboro.

Memorials may be made to Flint Hill Baptist Church Children’s Ministry, 2207 Flint Hill Ch. Rd., Shelby, NC 28152.
