Hettie Rose Richards, age 68, resident of 111 Bain Rd. Kings Mountain, NC went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospital.  She was born in Cleveland Co, NC to the late  Wade Patterson and Margaret “Maggie” Patterson.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Carl Patterson,  Wade Patterson, Jr. and grandsons, Gregory Ford and Ronald Eugene Short, Jr.  She was member of Harvest Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. NC and retired from Parkdale Mills, Kings Mtn. NC.   She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed.

SURVIVORS: Husband of 53 years: J. G. Richards, Kings Mtn. NC; Sons: Jimmy Richards and fiancé Lolita Crosby, Belmont, NC; Michael Richards and fiancé Lisa Bates, Kings Mtn. NC; Daughters: Sherry Messer and husband Allen, Kings Mtn. NC; Janet Tessener and husband David, Lexington, NC; Beverly Ford, Forest City, NC; Brothers: Hayward “Buster” Patterson, Blacksburg, SC; Richard Patterson and Charles “JoeJoe” Patterson,  both of King Mtn. NC; Sisters: Wanda Meeks  and Alice Delozier, both of Shelby, NC; Frances Whetstine, Bessemer City, NC; Suzie Hastings and Pam Patterson, both of Kings Mtn. NC; Doris Bone, Dallas, NC and Kim Patterson, Lincolnton, NC; 14 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren

FUNERAL SERVICE:  Harvest Baptist Church, Monday, November 11, 2013; 2:00 P.M.  Rev. Gary Teague, officiating.

VISITATION: 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday evening, November 10, 2013 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Harvest Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
