Historic Howser House open Saturday, May 11th

The Brigade of Friends and King Mountain National Military Park will host an Open House of the 1803 Howser House this Saturday, May 11th, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Parking is just off of Rock House Road which is to the right just before you enter KMNMP from the Blacksburg side. There will be trams at the parking area to take you to the Howser House. If you have any questions you can get more information at the Visitor's Center of KMNMP.
There will be a variety of entertainment and displays. Thomas Kelly Pauley will be there with his Revolutionary era artwork, Laura Settle will have her homespun goods, and Judy Jones will be there with stories for children. A three-piece string group will also be playing music.
From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Caleb Sigmon, Director of the play, "Liberty Mountain," plans to have some actors in costume performing small segments from the play during the event. "Liberty Mountain" will be performed at the Joy Performance Theater in Kings Mountain from June 28th to July 21st.
