Howard "Pete" Thomas, 82, of E. Stagecoach Trail, Fallston, passed away
Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center in Shelby.

He was born in Gaston County on September 23, 1934, to the late James Thomas
and Margaret Bivens Thomas. He had worked for Doran Yarn in Shelby, Dora
Yarn in Cherryville, and Winn-Dixie. He had been a member of Fallston
Baptist Church for thirty-seven years. Pete enjoyed fishing, riding
bicycles, and playing checkers.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and
sisters.

He is survived by loving wife of fifty-eight years Ruby Brittain Thomas.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Rose Hill
Memorial Park with the Rev. David Blanton officiating.
