 Mrs. Iva Lingerfelt Beam, 77, of 113 Country Grove Road, Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010. Services were held at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. Burial followed in Grover Cemetery, Grover, NC. 

Mrs. Beam was preceded in death by her parents, John Frank and Lucrettie Summers Lingerfelt; 5 brothers, Johnny Lingerfelt, Calvin Lingerfelt, Carl Lingerfelt, Cline Lingerfelt, and Lester Lonnie Lingerfelt; and 4 sisters, Ruby Dixon, Aileen Proctor, Betty Roper and Opal Carroll.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, John Thomas “Tom” Beam of Kings Mountain, NC; 1 son, Michael Beam and wife Kathy of Gastonia, NC; 2 daughters, Jane Lovelace Redmond and husband Jeff of Kingsport, TN, and Lynn Lovelace Brown and husband Wayne of Shelby, NC; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and special niece, Jackie Dixon Hardin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 201 N. Piedmont Ave., Kings Mountain, NC; or to: Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
