J.C. Causby, 75, of 1353 Lithia Springs Road, Shelby, passed away Saturday,
October 8, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Cleveland County on November 25, 1940, to the late David
Thomas Causby and Alice Lorene Henson Causby. He was retired from Drexel
Furniture and a member of New Testament Missionary Baptist Church, Waco.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl
Causby and Eddie Causby and a sister, Betty White.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Elaine Nance Causby; two sons,
Roger Causby and wife, Lynn of Shelby and Edward Causby and wife, Wendy of
Shelby; two daughters, Robin Hamby and husband, Steve of Cherryville and
Vicki Causby of Mt. Holly three brothers, Walter Causby of Lawndale, Dean
Causby of Grover, and Tommy Causby of Shelby; three sisters, Martha Jones of
Fallston, Mildred Kanipe of Shelby and Linda Fowler of Shelby; six
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 pm at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM at Wallace Grove
Baptist Church with the Revs. Mack Hyder and Terry Huffman officiating. The
body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
