Jack Andrew Ridings Jr. age 59 died Saturday August 3, 2013 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Born in Cleveland County on May29, 1954, he was the son of Jack Andrew Sr. and Jo Ann Byers Ridings. Andy retired from the maintenance department of Cleveland County Schools. He was proud to say that he served in the U. S. Army. In his spare time, Andy loved to go fishing.

In addition to his parents, Andy is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kathy McCurry Ridings;  daughter, Celeste Tessnear of Shelby; five brothers, Allan Ridings, Gene Ridings, David Ridings, Jody Ridings, and Michael Ridings; and one granddaughter, Miranda Tessnear.

A celebration of life service, with Military Honors, will be held on Wednesday August 7, 2013 in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home at 2:00pm with Rev. Forrest Ridings officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
