Jack Stanley Bettis, 76, of Lawndale passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Carolinas Medical Center - Main.

Jack was born on July 17, 1949 in Cleveland County, to the late Austell Bettis, Jr. and Frances Blanton Bettis. He was retired from the City of Shelby. Jack was a farmer, and worked in landscaping, construction, industrial maintenance and was a "jack of all trades." He was a member of Double Shoals Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Austell Bettis, III.

Jack is survived by his sister, Lynn Daves of Lawndale; foster daughter, Haley; former wife, Gail Bettis of Shelby; a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great niece and great nephew and sister-in-law, Brenda Bettis of Boiling Springs.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 4, 2026 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Double Shoals Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2026 at 3:00pm at Double Shoals Baptist Church with Dr. Brian Johnson and Rev. Dale Byrd officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
