Jackie "Jack" Kennedy Thurman, 61, of Shelby, North Carolina transitioned on April 15, 2026.

Jackie was born May 8, 1964, in Cleveland County, NC, to the late John Thomas Thurman and Ruby Jeanette Thurman.

In addition to his parents, John Thomas Thurman and Ruby Jeanette Thurman, he was preceded in death by siblings John Steven Thurman (Rodeo) and Tracy Jeanette Thurman.

He is survived by his siblings, Mary Magdaline Thurman, Donnie Thurman Sr. (Debra), Karl Thurman (Aricka), Michael Thurman (Harvetta); special niece whom he loved like a sister, Teresa Brooks; aunts whom he loved dearly Eva Jennings (Bobby), Kay Allen, both of Kingstown, Isabelle Rivers, and Annie Johnson, both of Shelby, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jack leaves the legacy of a host of family members that will forever carry his memory.
