James Albert Hallman

James "Jim" Albert Hallman, 85, of Vale passed away on April 15, 2026 at TerraBella in Lincolnton, NC. Jim was born on June 18, 1940 in Cleveland County to the late parents Joseph Floyd Hallman and Ruby Evelyn Bryte Hallman. He was retired from JP Stevens. Jim was a member of Cedar Grove Lutheran Church where he held multiple positions and was a member of Fallston Masonic Lodge #356. He was a member of the Republican Men of Lincolnton and was a former Lincoln County Commissioner for 8 Years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Belk. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Wanda Killian Hallman; son, Jeff Hallman of Oak Ridge; daughter, Jaime Clark and husband, Joe of Vale; five grandchildren, Victoria Hallman, Jackson Hallman, Jenae Clark, Max Clark and J.D. Clark and daughter-in-law, Jessica O'Rouke Belk of St. Joseph, Missouri. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 3:00pm at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church with Rev. John Connolly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
