Mr. James Allen Bridges, 70 of Shelby, NC passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Services were held at Sandy Plains Baptist Church. Burial was held in the church cemetery.

Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Bridges and his parents, J.T. Bridges and Gladys Cogdell Morgan.

He is survived by sons: Jimmy Bridges of Shelby; David Bridges and wife Kathy of  Grover; daughter: Lynn Murray of Forest City; a brother: Leonard Bridges and wife Tempie of Cherryville; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
