 Mr. James Alvin Lattimore, 94, of 131 Ball Park Road, Lattimore, NC, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010. Services were held at New Bethel Baptist Church, Lawndale, NC. Burial followed in the church cemetery. 

Mr. Lattimore was preceded in death by his parents, Jethro Sumner Lattimore and Luster Mary Southards Lattimore; 4 brothers, Frank Lattimore, Eugene Lattimore, Sam Lattimore and J.S. Lattimore; and 2 sisters, Mildred Lattimore Gold and Grace Lattimore Dayberry.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen “Mackie” McSwain Lattimore; 2 sons, James William Lattimore and wife Cherie of Lawndale and Donald Kenneth Lattimore and wife Elizabeth of Salisbury; and 2 grandsons.
