James "Buddy" Benjamin Allen, Jr., 67, of Shelby, passed away Saturday,
August 25, 2018 at his home.

Born on March 13, 1951 in Cleveland County, he was the son of James "Bennie"
Benjamin Allen, Sr. of Shelby and the late Roberta DeVenny Allen. He worked
alongside his father at Stoney Point Used Auto Parts and was a member of
Waco Baptist Church. Buddy enjoyed working with cars, watching dirt track
races and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of thirty years,
Connie Buttler Allen; son, Curtis Allen and wife Lindsey of Shelby; three
daughters, Jennifer Wesson and husband Allen of Shelby, Miranda Deyton and
husband Aaron of Rutherfordton, and Shannon Standish and husband Randy of
Shelby; sister, Susan Elmore and husband Tim of Kings Mountain; six
grandchildren, Kane Williams, Kaela Williams, Lane Allen, Colby Deyton,
Jesse Deyton and Landon Standish.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:45PM Tuesday at Waco
Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. At other times, the family will be at their
home, 1525 Stoney Point Rd., Shelby, NC 28150.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday 3:00PM at Waco Baptist Church with
Dr. Harold Fite, Rev. David Blanton and Rev. Jerry Welch officiating.

The burial will follow in the Ross Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
