Mr. James Lee Coleman, 76 of Shelby, NC passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at his residence. He was born on January 29, 1950 in Cleveland County, NC to Virginia Whitworth Black and the late Cole B. Coleman.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Judy Brown, Linda Best, Tina Jones and Coleman L. Coleman, Sr.

He leaves behind his devoted and loving mother, Virginia Coleman Black; his wife, Sandra Coleman; his daughter, Sarah Coleman; grandchildren, Xavier Proctor, Kyarah Proctor and Nick Proctor; great-granddaughter, Lola Proctor; siblings, Hester Cumberlander, Janie Hoey (Hartwell) and Stanley Coleman and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

A memorial service were held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM at A Glimpse of the Kingdom Ministries.
